Shiny new blog alert!
This feels weird.
I’m quite an established blogger now – I am co-owner and editor of fashion blog Girl in the Lens, which is just over a year old and has been doing pretty well in the UK blogosphere – so it’s strange for me to be looking at a blank post in a blank blog. Luckily, I do not have a blank mind. There are SO many things I want to share with you all. For now, I’ll start by saying how ridiculously excited I am that I even have the need to do an author blog, because yes, that’s right, calm my beating heart –
I am now an author.
Say that again?
Nope. I don’t think it’s ever quite going to feel real. Sometimes it hits me, and I’m like –
– and then I go back to feeling as though it’s all some huge misunderstanding, and any moment now my lovely agent Nicola is going to ring me up, telling me to stop emailing her because she has no idea who I am and could I please leave her alone?
But it is happening.
My first novel is going to be published.
And it is the best feeling in the world.
I’ll be using this blog to share with you my journey to publication, thoughts on writing, and news about my books, starting with my debut novel, The Elites. So please stick around and let me know in the comments or by email if there any things you’d be particularly interested in hearing about, and I’ll do my best to address them!
